About Pandora
Pandora graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading in 2006, following three and a half years of training and uses both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture in her practice. In 2005 she visited the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, to study the way acupuncture is practiced in China. Learning about acupuncture is an ongoing process and Pandora enjoys attending ongoing training sessions whenever possible. She is passionate about making acupuncture more affordable so that a wider range of people can experience its benefits.
Before training as an acupuncturist Pandora worked as a researcher in several medical schools throughout London and the South West. She investigated patients' experiences of living with chronic illness and obtained her PhD in the field of stroke. The insight she gained into peoples' experiences of being treated within the Western medical system led her to research different models of healing, bringing her ultimately to acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine. She is also interested in herbal medicine and is currently completing a foundation course in Herbalism with the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine.
