A holistic approach to healing

Traditional Chinese acupuncture is a wonderful, ancient system of medicine that has stood the test of time. Developed over 2,500 years ago it remains relevant today and is increasingly recognised as helpful for a wide and diverse range of conditions. More and more people are discovering it to be a gentle and effective way of restoring and maintaining health.

Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a holistic system of healing that treats you, not just your symptoms. This means your practitioner is concerned with you as a whole, unique individual rather than a series of parts (tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, bad back etc). Within the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine everything is seen as connected and interdependent. Often, when people come to the clinic with a diverse range of symptoms that are all being treated by different doctors and specialists, acupuncturists are able to see how the symptoms are connected and make sense as a whole.

Acupuncture aims to bring you back into balance and to strengthen your constitution. Consequently people having acupuncture often report feeling better 'in themselves', or feeling more 'like themselves'. Because everything is seen as connected, healing can occur not just on the physical level, but on emotional levels too.

We strongly recommend that you call us to discuss whether acupuncture can help in your case.
